Deep in the heart of Texas, yet only 40 minutes from Austin, sits a spot for your soul to prosper. To slow down...to catch your breath...to reconnect...and maybe even reset. From yoga retreats to personal workshops, to group events, or even just an overnight getaway, La Fortuna has everything you need to nurture nature.
The grounds are home to 8 Sioux style Tipis, El Corazon A-Frame Cabin, and La Casa, as well as a rustic outdoor gathering space complete with an outdoor kitchen, pool, and expansive deck.
THE TIPIS (8 Tipis)
The tipis are majestic, 22-ft. Sioux-style tipis. All tipis feature a comfortable bed, fresh linens, side tables and lamps, a large cowhide rug, overhead lighting, electrical outlets, a seating area, a mini fridge, a french press, an electric water kettle, a 20-inch fan, and portable air conditioner. In the winter months, we provide an electric heating blanket, a warm air heater, and an infrared heater for extra warmth.
Outside of each tipi, there is a private fire pit and a set of outdoor chairs. We have five picnic tables scattered throughout the tipi area with a large 6-ft fire pit up by The Overlook / El Mirador.

7 out of the 8 Tipis have a portable AC and all tipis come with a 20” fan, but during the hotter months, the systems have had a hard time keeping up with the heat and better function once the day begins to cool off. Please keep in mind, while there is a portable AC in some, this will not keep the tipi cool like a traditional abode. In the winter months, all beds have an electric heated blanket, warm air heater and infrared heater.
EL CORAZON (1 King + 1 Sofa Bed):
El Corazon is an A-frame cabin located on one end of the property by the tipis. The cabin is minimal, clean, and comfortable. It features a king bed (and a loft small double bed 220 LB Max), fresh linens, side tables, large cowhide rug, lighting, a seating area, air conditioning and heating, and an outdoor private fire pit with two chairs, a deck of cards, books, Bluetooth speaker, mini fridge, french press, electric water kettle, and a lantern.
LA CASA (3 Bedrooms: 1 King + 1 Queen + 2 Twins):
La Casa is peaceful and serene making it a perfect home base for exploring the Hill Country. We work hard to make the home more than just a place for a good night's rest. We really focus on the details to ensure guests have a wonderful experience. We work as a team to bring you a clean, cozy home with all the comfort of a hotel without being generic.
You can bring up to 2 dogs with you, but the sum of their weight can’t exceed 60 pounds. Breed restrictions apply, We charge a $75 per pet. A separate pet rental agreement must be signed when bringing your pet. Sorry cat people, dogs only.
